Yew + Yueh : Snoopy Love | The Acres Resort Bentong
By far the cutest, most adorable wedding design we’ve ever done!
If you can’t already tell, Snoopy is our bride’s all-time favourite comic character. When we heard ‘pink’, ‘flowery’, and ‘snoopy’ … our inner child leaped for joy! Life’s too short to be taken too seriously, and we love it when a couple doesn’t hold back on all the fun!
The floral arch was evocative of a crescent moon, as our bride Yueh’s “月” name literally means moon, so we took it as inspiration. We covered the lawn in lovely soft pink, intertwined with custom Snoopy standees holding out a wedding ring! The entire scene was romantic and so so magical, you could feel heart eyes everywhere!
And if it wasn’t for the photos, you’d never believe it was pouring rain just minutes before. Gale force winds repeatedly toppled the arch, leaving us with no choice but to wrap up all our hard work under sheets of tarpaulin, and take cover. It was still drizzling when we resumed, so we slapped on raincoats and powered through. Nothing was gonna stop us from getting this ceremony up and ready!
Double duty decor – we reused the welcome mirror signage for the night by upcycling it as part of the seating chart welcome area.
On top of that, Yew and Yueh requested for a special memory + dessert corner. The pair was super thoughtful, wanting ALL their guests to feel welcomed, so they printed photos of all their loved ones and had us display them on a frame. The corner also included many other sentimental details – couple photos, guests’ well-wishes, polaroid guestbook, wedding newspaper (The Wedding Daily), snacks, and of course – character figurines from the comic strip Peanuts!
No doubt the most effort was put into The Wedding Daily. A custom wedding newspaper print we designed with the couple’s relationship timeline, love story, wedding menu, wedding team, and watercolor illustration of their wedding venue on the front cover. Oh the details that went into this! The couple wanted it as an easy entertainment for their guests during the cocktail hour, plus it’s the perfect wedding memento to remember the special day!
