Sumitha and Subash were beyond ecstatic to finally host their dream celebration back here in Malaysia! After postponing the event for almost 2 years due to Covid, the Aussie-based couple was showered with love from friends and family when they held their long-awaited ceremony and reception at the urban industrial venue of Lightbox, Sungai Buloh.
Bare copper brick walls, visible metal piping and exposed pillars are the signature look of this modern industrial space. Draped with fairy lights overhead, the venue on its own gives off an air of romance. We played onto this rustic city feel by mixing in a colour palette of deep reds, maroon and green. Balancing off the cold industrial interior with warm rustic elements to further enhance the romance and glamour!
We kept it on theme with a gold metallic arch that well-complements the vertical sleek lines of an industrial design, paired with a combination of large Monstera leaves, pampas grass, red and white florals. The eye-catching floral arrangements in pops of red echoed throughout Sumitha and Subash’s wedding style, from table centerpieces to the aisle decor. Rustic elements were also embodied in the couple’s chosen wooden cross-back chairs, a popular Tuscan-inspired wedding chair that came with a natural wood finish!
