This glasshouse affair might just be our most-loved tropical wedding to date!
We absolutely adored our bride Annie’s vision for the theme. Particularly her emphasis on the color tones, preferring a more subdued toned-down aesthetic rather than the usual bright and bold tropical palette. The muted tones brought out a different ambience under the soft glasshouse lighting, infusing coziness and warmth into the space.
With lush greenery in the background, we kept the backdrop simple with “Annie & Kasey ” spelled out in a huge lettered signage, and low floral arrangements on pedestals to fill the stage. Roses, anthuriums, birds of paradise are just few of the many blooms that were intertwined with rattan accents of baskets and lanterns, staying true to the tropical vibe. Eye-catching details that pop, yet subtle at the same time – an embodiment of the couple’s bold yet down-to-earth personalities.
Another impressive feature that we included were the edible centerpieces. Mangosteens, pears, mangos, ripe coconuts, pomegranates and more … artfully crafted like pieces in a gallery. A refreshing stroke to our tablescape, these vibrant colors from nature are simply unmatched! We’d always find ourselves having a good time styling with fruits. Peeled or unpeeled, cut in half or left whole; the myriad of textures, colors and scents … the possibilities are endless!
Of course, Annie and Kasey’s stationery was also designed on-theme! Table number, program card, with their wedding invite in a semi-translucent muted finish for that added luxe. We took on the challenge of decorating their wedding cake too! Tropical blooms with the most adorable dog figurines to represent their beloved Shiba Inu furbaby, who strutted down the aisle that day with his pawrents.
Glasshouse seputeh also featured these industrial-style accent walls complete with grid frames and soft bulb lighting. We decided to transform it into a portrait display corner, showcasing beautiful pre-wed photos of the couple. A warm welcome for guests upon arrival at the registration area, before heading up the main stairs blooming in tropical flowers.
To end the night, our team set up a “Bloom Bar” to repurpose wedding florals into bouquets for guests to take home. It’s part of our green initiative to reduce waste through our wedding designs and what a privilege it is when we meet couples who appreciate these efforts!
